About Dr. Eisner

Dr. David Eisner DDS, MMSc is an endodontist with extensive training in surgical and non-surgical endodontic treatment. A New Jersey native, Dr. Eisner attended the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. Dr. Eisner continued his education at the New York University College of Dentistry where he graduated as valedictorian of a class of almost 400 dental students. Upon graduation, he was bestowed many awards celebrating his academic and clinical achievement including the Outstanding Student Leader Award from the American College of Dentists and was selected into the national dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU). Dr. Eisner was also the recipient of the Dr. Samuel Hess Award and the Dr. Bernard E. Rudner Memorial Award recognizing a student demonstrating outstanding scholarship and superior performance in providing oral comprehensive care and administering a dental practice, respectively.

 

Dr. Eisner continued his postgraduate training by completing a general practice residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where he received training in all dental disciplines. Following his general practice residency, Dr. Eisner completed a three-year endodontic residency program at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he completed his endodontic specialty training and received a Master in Medical Science degree in oral biology. While at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Eisner conducted research focused on pain of dental pulp origin, culminating in his thesis, “Exploring Host-Microbiome Interactions in Symptomatic and Asymptomatic Irreversible Pulpitis Using Quantitative Proteomics and 16S rDNA Analysis.”

 

Dr. Eisner’s goal is to administer compassionate, pain-free endodontic treatment at the highest level. Dr. Eisner takes time to treat each patient individually based on their specific needs and answer any questions his patients may have.

 

Outside the office, Dr. Eisner enjoys spending time with his wife and English cocker spaniel exploring NYC. His hobbies include playing tennis, running and rooting for the Yankees and Michigan Wolverines.
